U.P. ironman, Adam Carpenter (103FXD Outdoor Show, Chasin’ Steel) is back on the circuit with a new band and a cooler full of new original music and some road-tested favorites. This new project has an outlaw/alt country sound infused with bluegrass, blues and rock topped off with three part harmonies.
Adam’s new original songs are full of imagery encompassing heartbreak, the angst of long winters, finding new love and life on the rugged coast of Lake Superior in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Adam Carpenter and The Upper Hand will hit the stage with members, Alex Polkinghorne (bass and keys), Bill Houghton (percussion), Nick Johnson (lead guitar), Jake Kuhlman (banjo and mandolin) and Bill Arnold (dobro and lap steel).
Word is there will be some video shot for a music video in production for the song, “UP Life”. You could be a part of local cinemagraphic history.
We are also excited to hear the night’s opening acoustic duo, Bill Arnold and Anthony Zack from one of Detroit’s up and coming rock bands, ONE TON TROLLEY! Described as “roots rock from the rustbelt”.
